About the programme:

Electrical and electronic equipments are making the life of man more interesting and comfortable and these equipments are used in the many aspect of life. Arunachal Pradesh is large in area and in developing stage. There is enough entrepreneurship & job potential for Electrical & Electronic diploma pass outs. Since the state is rich in natural resources, there is enormous scope for hydel power generation.

The department of Electrical & Electronic engineering offers 3 years regular diploma programme in Electrical & Electronic engineering and is intended to develop in the students the basic competencies required to meet the challenges in the field of electrical & electronics.

"TO BE A VALUE BASED RECOGNIZED TECHNICAL INSTITUTION IN ELECTRICAL & ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING & GIVE A PLATFORM FOR ADVANCE STUDIES & TO PRODUCE TECHNICALLY SOUND & ETHICALLY STRONG ENGINEERS CAPABLE OF SOLVING ELECTRICAL & ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING PROBLEMS WHICH WOULD BENEFIT THE SOCIETY."

MISSION:

PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES(PEOs):

  1. PEO1: To provide students a platform for professional development & advanced education.
  2. PEO2: To enable students to apply their technical knowledge as practicing engineers.
  3. PEO3: To inculcate professional & ethical attitude, effective communication, team spirit & health care in students.
  4. PEO4: Students shall contribute in electrical & electronics engineering field & thereby appreciate the impact of electrical & electronics engineering on society.

(A) PROGRAM OUTCOMES(POs):

  1. Basic Knowledge: An ability to apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science, and engieneering to solve the electrical and electronics engineering problems.
  2. Discipline Knowledge: An ability to apply electrical and electronics engineering- specific knowledge to solve core and /or applied engineering problems.
  3. Experiment and Practice: An ability to plan and perform experiments and practices and to  use  the results to sovle electrical and engineering problems.
  4. Engineering Tools: Apply appropriate technologies an tools with an understanding of limitations.
  5. The Engineer and Society: Demonstrate knowledge to assess societal , heath,safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to electrical & electronics engineering practice.
  6. Environment and Sustainability: Understand the impact of the electrical and electronics engineering  solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge and need for sustainable development.
  7. Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities nad norms of the electrical and electronics engineering practice.
  8. Individual and Team work: Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse/ multidisciplinary teams.
  9. Communication: An ability to communicate effectively.
  10. Life-long Learning: Recognize the need for, and have the preparation and ability to engage in independent and life-long learning in the context of technological changes.

  1. Ability to provide consultancy on projects associated with electrical and electronics engineering. 
  2. Ability to develop power grid & integrating renewal energy on it to aid the increasing power demand of the society.
